30% cremation rates? Wow, ours are aruond 70% now (pacific northwest) and in people’s minds cremation is synonymous with direct and scattering. People are often surprised that they can have a cremation, viewing, service, etc.We need to continue to work harder at educating the public of their options so their emotional and spiritual needs can be met.
